You know what really makes me happy?

Going on a camp with cadets.

Good to see that the cadets have not change.

Mine proved last week that they still think that their is some form of force field in the minibus that means the staff canā€™t hear what they are saying in the back!

I love those conversations that you decide to pretend to forget youā€™ve heard.

My favourite is the cadets who donā€™t know about the fancy ear defenders you get which make conversations easy to hear on the range

vrt_memes, whoever you are, thank you. This is so far the best morale boost Iā€™ve had in a while. The TOPL post is brilliant. Definitely making me happy!

Iā€™m glad you appreciated that one.

Two days of some quality mountain biking and a L3 qual to boot. Beer well earned tonight.

Ordered another couple of cases of wine - Perfect for the dark evenings. Fantastic.

Details please!

One case from the RAF Club of the house Merlot, which is a nice drop and I like to support the club.

One case from Laithwaites of mixed dark reds - Pillastro, Cabalie, Black Stump, Waxed Batā€¦

A load of gutsy red wine: high alcohol, stain your teeth, warm you up, headache in the morning jobbies. That makes me happy!

Top man.

RAF Club house gin.

Can non-members order online directly? Canā€™t see a link anywhere.

Found it, nevermind.

Sent off my first night student on his night solo circuits  :airplane:

He didnā€™t die!

My new build isnā€™t ready yet (itā€™s not late, just seem to have been waiting forever).

So Iā€™ve had to renew my Mortage offer, interest rates have changed and itā€™s going to be Ā£200 a month cheaper than expected!

A great day with the cadets today. A morning of getting 65 odd through the new blue badge first aid and then activities outside on the field. Tomorrow we have archery, climbing wall, flight sim, drones (within the current rules) and a taster session for a potential corps of drums.

So good to be doing proper cadet activities and seeing then enjoying themselves.

Not cadet related, but a happy wholesome day out (no photos of the actual grade 3 rapids tho, although I did successfully roll in anger after taking a slightly dodgy line down a drop :muscle: :tada:)

Jees, you really do put me to shame. My biggest achievement today is eating a whole bag of mini chocolate spekulatius while watching a film

But DID IT MAKE YOU HAPPY? Because thatā€™s what counts - especially in this thread :stuck_out_tongue:

Regardless, it sounds a lot warmer!
