Why are people still having full volume phone calls in libraries?

My phone doesnāt even vibrate now; everything comes through to my watch instead.
Perhaps we do need societal etiquette lessons in schools again?

This was the first thing I loved about my OG Apple Watch. No more ringtone, never missed a call or text.
Having lost a āphone years ago that was on vibrate (before āFind my āPhone or similar), not surprisingly no-one picked it up when I called it numerous times, so I tend to use normal ring tone - unless in a āquietā or known environment such as cadets or in a library / doctors, etc,
Mine lives on silent with vibrate on. Canāt be doing with loud ringtone and noise!

There was a time we used to pay Ā£1 (or Ā£2.50 for 3) to some random company in a magazine for a snippet of what was essentially chiptune version of a popular songā¦
Then have a heart attack 2 weeks later when we were charged a 5 quid subscription because we didnāt read the small print.
Now, only monsters donāt use silent.

Thing is everyone I know still has a personalised ringtone, they then just put it on silent.
I get really confused when Iām in the car and my phone rings with a ringtone

The take turns playing a ring tone from your phones sound menu. Winner is the person who gets the most people checking,

When I was a Scout I got a hand-me-down with a really cool ring tone that was completely unique to the phone model. Our Scout leader had the same phone.
So many fun nights playing that tune and seeing the look of confusion on his face.
Had an old (pre-iPhone?) model - ring time due Mrs J was a loud klaxon sound, followed by a loud āWARNING, ITāS THE WIFE.ā

The astounding thing is, there are literally thousands of negative comments on Reddit, App Store, socials etc, yet they seem dead set on keeping the update - sunk cost fallacy at its finest!
Iāve not seen the app, but the removal of detail from the website is a pain. Iām always clicking to go back to the old format.
