The tatty looking flags certainly do get replaced with new ones in my area. There’s a Facebook group to which you can report them and they’re usually replaced the following night.

GMG. Raised an issue with a software supplier yesterday.
Came in this morning with a case update which amounted to a digital shrug and said “yeah… don’t really know what’s gone wrong there”.
YOU ARE LITERALLY THE EXPERTS HERE!!!
Pesky Cadets have given me Flu / Covid ![]()
GMG. Birdflu lockdown. Sad times.
My mum’s place is in a 3km protection zone right now. Chickens have to be locked away indoors. Local farm has had to have a massive cull.
It’s incredibly crap. But and there’s a fair bit about.
And io course there’s the loony Facebook comments saying its all just part of the food control agenda 2030 of some rubbish.
Yeah; the AIPZ goes national at 00:01 on Thursday morning…
If anybody has some spare cash, you may want to consider buying some stocks and shares in any business which manufacturers 25mm netting. The price is about to skyrocket!
Might be a turkey free Christmas at this rate!
Does or is it currently intended for the AIPZ to extend into Wales/Scotland or is it just England atm?
This is for England, but Wales and Scotland have been in a protection zone since January, I think?
I’m fairly sure I know which provider that is…
Works for me, although that would be no different to any other Christmas.
It is the worst meat
My Turkey is too dry…
As with any meat, it can be ruined by over cooking. Much better as a crown or fillets as it is easier to control the cooking process.
in my experience, ignore the cooking times on the packaging/online.
we can cook a “3hr40m” turkey in 2hr30…we follow all the cooking instructions (temperature, dish, water in the base etc) and at half way through the suggested cooking time, get the temperature prob out and check the bird every 15-20 minutes
when we see everything is at 74° we pull it out.
I have been cooking Turkey this way for the best part of ten years and have never needed the full cooking time stated by the packaging/cooking instructions.
it is of course no wonder turkey has a reputation for being “dry” when most cook for an hour or more longer than is necessary
