Over here, only parts of Lima have access to 5G. Every other city has 4G and most towns have 3G. Outside of the urban areas, it’s rare to be able to get a signal at all - even for emergencies.
School picture companies…
Just shy of £70 for six digital photos… Absolutely not.
Stand them in front of the fridge in uniform, smartphone in portrait mode, job’s a good’un
What now?
so you get 6 copies of a digital image, thats just an NFT!
At my daughter’s school, they even photoshop the individual photos together into fake class, year, and whole school photos.
One of those many things that started during Covid and never went back to how it should be afterwards.
would it not just be easier to photograph them all together…
Popped into Boots to pick up a prescription. 4 separate queues at the pharmacy counter -
- Prescription drop off
- Prescription collection
- Over the counter medicine.
- Ask to see the pharmacist.
And only one person serving customers… The pharmacist was, apparently, on their lunch break… Didn’t deter people from joining that queue though!!
I’ve never seen enough people working there to justify 4 separate queues!!
Defence gateway is being a douche.
Wont let me log in becaue i failed Recaptcha but theres no recaptcha!
Did a decent hike with some mates in Wales on Saturday, near Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant. But GMG, my god, how horrific the footpath access was. I spent a significant amount of time trying to navigate us out of fields that just had no stiles or gates at the end. Lots of clambering over stuff and minor trespass because the access is so bad. Here’s a couple of example of what should have been a style/gate:
Ended up with OS maps app out regularly checking GPS as it just seemed impossible. Had to walk across a fair few planted fields to that had a ROW on the map across the middle, but no track left and no diversion signs.
I think the Ramblers association are pretty hot on reminding land owners of their legal responsibilities if you drop them a note (obviously a bit useless for the walk you’ve just been on but can help future walkers!)
And you can report directly to the local council who are responsible for chasing landowners when there are issues.
Powys in this case https://prow.powys.gov.uk/
The problem is, this wasn’t 1 or 2 bits that were bad, it was constant! It’s like these paths just don’t get used at all. This was the whole route:
It took over 5 hours, including lunch. Most time spent fighting hedgerows!
I had a really similar experience in Cornwall a few years back - literally battling 4km of brambles, collapsed stiles, locked gates etc.
Logged it on the County Council website along with a narrative, some dropped pins and photos. 4 weeks later I had an email back from the Council Rights of Way Officer, thanking me for the report and photos of some people clearing the paths, installing a new stile and new RoW signs. Emailed RoW officer back to say thanks for the update; short conversation then occurred in which it transpired I wasn’t the first person to flag it, the landowner hadn’t complied several times over the last 12 months, so the Council were doing works in default and preparing a Court file!
I may well do an email to them.
I’m just glad I was with a group of peers, adults, rather than a group of cadets. We had to do some pretty sketchy stuff to get though some parts of the route that I probably wouldn’t have done with 14 year old in tow!
The standard of driving in this country has absolutely gone through the floor. I’m at a point where I think I support reoccurring tests and also extra tests of you want to drive something above a certain size/weight/power.
Currently sat in my car waiting on a prescription to be filled. And watching people has been interesting. 90% if people can’t get into a space on a first try. Far too many very old people driving brand new XC90/X7 size cars with 0 situational awareness or ability to maneuver them into a space.
Funnily enough the old boys in massive estates seem to manage perfectly well!
I think that sometimes all the tech & parking sensors can be more distracting then just letting people do it
Being pushed into a more sales/strategic pipeline role at work, whilst carrying out 50%of my current role…because its good for my development.
Which it is and im happy about it
But…
It means i have to buy suit jackets and shoes because apparently my band/vans/carhartt Ts, jeans and vans old schools dont quite cut it in that world. Its expensive and i liked my casual approach to work
Looking forward to the females reaction to the tweed jacket with elbow patches though
I recommend TK Maxx or Vinted for cheaper suit options.
Buy bigger and tailor in.
Yeah being a fatty its tricky!
GMG: Moonpig.
Third time in a row that they’ve failed to deliver something on time, so won’t be using them again.
