You know what really grinds my gears? The Gears Strike Back

Agreed.

GMG - Trying to watch Netflix and the power keeps dropping out every 20 minuets for about 10 second. Always when there’s a good bit too. Bloody weather.

Here’s hoping Santa beings me a UPS.

Oil has dropped by c.$10 a barrel yet petrol and diesel haven’t come down. As soon as oil prices go up, given they are futures, you see petrol and diesel pump prices rise.

You’ve defeated your own initial point.

Fuel in the system right now is already purchased at a higher price. It can take weeks for a drop to occur at the pumps.

The ā€œcheaperā€ fuel is already in the system, yet a rise in crude oil per barrel sees this cheaper fuel getting more expensive immediately, long before the mew higher futures price kicks in.

It’s both early & cold

The heater in my hotel room turned itself on at 3am waking me up. Now I actually need to get out of bed, it’s off and freezing

Who in their right mind goes from Double Strength to Quadruple Strength squash but doesn’t think to update the packaging with a massive warning sticker??

My throat is burning!!!

I remember an American colleague who had never heard of concentrated squash. She offered to make me a drink and poured me neat squash. Downing that eas among the biggest mistakes in my life

Our Sqn’s BMFA membership is due for renewal at the end of Dec. I’ll be writing to them to say that the whole of RAFAC is banned from operating drones, so we won’t renew yet

We just renewed our membership - the last guidance was banned from flying them outside - so will continue to use them inside.

True. We haven’t got space for anything other than toys inside, so don’t need BMFA benefits for that

There is a little bit of wishful thinking in there on our part too I think…

When you decide to take two days leave this week, and arrange everything around the 3 days you are working. Only to find IT have also decided to make use of the ā€œquiet timeā€ for some ā€œessential maintenanceā€. This resulted in a day of no IT systems yesterday - and today, they are all broken because the ā€œessential maintenanceā€ didn’t go to plan. Now they are conducting ā€œurgent essential maintenanceā€ to fix yesterday’s ā€œnon-urgent essential maintenanceā€.

As such, i’m kicking back, drinking coffee and watching my to do list growing - knowing full well that I won’t get any of this done before the end of the month now…

Thanks IT.
