Seeing all over twitter the ACF delivering FAAW training where as its not avaliable to us as an organisation

Lots of people I know in this organisation erroneously call AFA FAAW for some reason.

Where’s my nationally recognised qualification from completing AFA then?

Where’s your CTR21 recognised qualification is the better question

The ACF do train staff up to deliver FAAW, it’s from memory 2 x 1 week courses and some work in between before you can get signed off.

I regretted not going on the courses when I was in as they were meant to be excellent

What I don’t get is I was in B&Q and their screw shelves were bereft, but Screwfix (same parent company IIRC) no such shortage. Yes I got a box of 200 when I didn’t need them, but they don’t go off and I paid less than for a 100 in B&Q. The two shops are a few hundred yards from each other.

That’s probably because Alex is trying to move jobs and not keeping an eye on stock levels anymore.

The 2 companies eun entirely seperatley, with different pricing strategies etc… I dont know the detail but I know teams are aware of it and its something they are looking at but can’t go into much more detail tbh

This is something I influence

I knew you downplayed your importance in the role. After all, having gone down the NCO/WO route you are a super high flying person.

Hopefully big player in the big smoke soon!

I found this… seems more useful than our approach

That’s it. I knew a few people who went on them and I was told they were excellent courses.

It makes no sense that we don’t offer the same, although from memory there were very few spaces on them as there was loads of people trying to get on it.

That is what good looks like!

I’m planning to do one of those courses soon. Looking forward to it.

So when you deliver FAAW we can all tag along :smirk:

That’s a lot of time for someone to give up to become an instructor!

First aid quals are a proper pain in our org.

That’s to become a FAAW instructor from having no first aid qualifications IIRC

And it includes the level 3 PTTLS or whatever it’s called nowadays
