You know what really grinds my gears? The Gears Strike Back

Had a routine docs phone call this morning… Apparently I’ve been eligible for the covid vaccine since Feb and they forgot to contact me

Looking for minibus hire. To be told at 7 places sorry we no longer do 17 seaters Just 15 seaters that can be driven on a car license.
With the one I can find wanting £150 for a day hire.

Tried phoenix?

Until the FMT issue is sorted. I also live no where near an MT section and after having Phoenix cancel 3 minibuses on me last minute, means I’d rather go the private hire way. It’s just my contingency plans that I had in 2019 are now null and void.

Grr frustrated.

Wow. Looks like some secondary schools have interpreted the guidance that bubbles are going!!!

Hello local lockdowns. Nice to see you again.

What is this “local lockdown” you speak of? Definitely not a thing. It couldn’t possibly be, because the route map is irreversible.

What about temporary stops to life events.
TuSTLE.

It’s easier to attach a file than fanny around to find a file and put the link in and a couple of days later when someone has fiddled around and the link doesn’t work.

Vehicles with seating capacity of 9 or mire excluded landrovers need d1 or permit 19 so normal car licence fir the younger members if our organisation won’t be able to drive them.

That males for an obvious solution. Sqns have minibuses that you never see at capacity so a 9 seater would make more sense. But let’s not let common sense get in the way.

We bought a 9 seater for this exact reason.

All vehicles either hired or owned with more than 8 passenger seats require a Permit 19 whilst being used by our organisation regardless of what licence is held by the driver. White fleet hire through the MOD does not need permit 19 but that’s another story.

Depending on a number of vehicle (seats, weight) and licence requirements (how long held, age) holders of a B category may also be able to drive them.

I don’t really know why a Land Rover would be excluded? But then I’ve never seen a Land Rover which could carry more than 9 people (including driver).

There are pages and pages on here about this, please move it there if you want to discuss

Older Landrover 110 could legally carry 11passengers+drivers , modern ones can only carry 8 passengers+driver. ATC no longer provide permit 19 so we now have to apply via DVSA. Just checked, they have amended their site and no longer mention Landrover. They now issue standard permit 19 for vehicles up to 16 passengers excluding driver, and large bus permits for 17 passengers or more. They have removed references to Landrover so I stand corrected. Vehicles now come in 3 categories, Small vehicle 8 pax or less. Small bus 9to16 pax. Large bus 17+pax. All excluding driver.
Makes things a bit easier to understand. Although annoying that at least every 10 weeks minibus needs to be checked. A good MOT and annual service should be enough. But thanks fir you update as is useful

Last chance before I start deleting posts…

Hopefully that finished discussion as don’t know how to move discussion

My drill started to burn, I managed to fix that, (i think…) but now the gearbox won’t reassemble properly.

What’s grinding my gears today, is literally gears grinding.
