You know what really grinds my gears? The Gears Strike Back

I bet this is another person who never even considered data protection before 2018 and blames it all on GDPR

Speaking with a local councillor about the number of unlawful parking tickets being issued at the moment where representations are rejected with a stock letter (and only overturned when people risk going to the tribunal). I ask him about the issue/representations process in general and he tells me ā€œdiscretion ainā€™t a thing. The councillors have taken it all away from the parking enforcement team because it creates precedents which we donā€™t likeā€. Discretion is a thing you blithering idiot. But this Lib Dem council have never let a thing like public law get in the way of them doing what they want.

******* printers :vangry:

It printed page one, but is now refusing to feed the paper in properly - 20 minutes later I still have only one page of what I need.

Very much feel a summary execution like the below is in order.

that sounds like an essential journey in these timesā€¦

pEp: ā€œyes Officer, this is an essential journey. You see this youth club I am part off requires the leaders to have paperwork to prove their ID, and they canā€™t send their own data via their own email, as it is being sent internally, the chain must start with an organisation email. As I am the boss it is up to me to collect the paperwork, then scan it in and start the email chain from my account.ā€

Police Officer: ā€œfor a youth club you sayā€?

pEp: ā€œyes thats right, of course weā€™ve been inactive for the past year due to the pandemic, but you see its vital this work gets done, and of course I am a member of the MOD +shows MOD90+ so you see i am working on Her Majestyā€™s service and thus an essential journeyā€

Police Officer: ā€¦Riiiiiiiight :unamused: would you mind stepping out of the car Sirā€¦+talks into his radio+

(and that was the last we heard of pEp!)

Grinding my gears; those who eat that muck in the first place!!

Mainly my significant other that has trashed every bacon or sausage sandwich I have ever made with it.

I have to eat it in a seperate room from the female as the smell makes her feel sick

The YouTube algorithm has punished me.

I randomly came across a flat-earth debunker, watched their video and then made the mistake of following the link to the original flat-earther videoā€¦

Alright, Iā€™ll keep all the cheap stuff for myself :joy:

As a bit more of a wine buffā€¦ spending that sort of money Iā€™d go for a portā€¦

Difference being, Iā€™d drink an Ā£80 port in one night, a whiskey would last a few months at least!

Iā€™m a fan of the Macallan Estate Reserve

(The benefits of working as a Bar Manager on a cruise ship - that and the cost price bottle of Louis XIII that I managed to blag)

Do I need to start a what are you drinking thread - or would that go against the AUP?
