What do you need to take to a wing camp ? Its my first one next month.
Without knowing if it’s a blues or greens camp it’s difficult to say.
Indeed, this will vary depending on the sort of camp it is and whether there are any specific requirements due to the camp programme or the accommodation available.
While there are no guarantees, it is normal practice for attendees to be issued with a “kit list” detailing everything they need to bring with them. This is often issued at the same time as travel details.
its a wing camp. I think that you take both blues and mtp/dpm
Clasper, unless we know which wing you’re in (I’m not asking you to share that info) then there’s no way we can help I’m afraid. Your best bet is to speak to a member of your squadron staff who will get given a kit list for you.
Your Wing should have issued a kit list, etc, to each of the sqns in your Wing. This should then have been given to all attending. Each Wing is different, we have an Easter Camp where cadets need No.3 dress and civvies for activities, whereas as Annual Camps to RAF stations need everything.
If it is a blues camp then its the usual stuff
- Working blues shirt
- Wedgewoods Shirt
- Blue Trousers / Skirt
- Jumper
- Jeltex
- MTP/DPM ( Depending on what your have )
- Beret
- Tie
- Brassard / Rank slides ( if your an NCO )
- Parade Shoes
- Boots
- Polishing kit
- Wash kit
- Civilian clothes ( include Sports and swimming kit )
- Civilian Shoes and trainers
- Sleeping bag ( Check this with your squadron staff if you need to take one )
I suspect, though your post would have no doubt been helpful, you’re somewhat (12 months) late!
