There’s many things about this program that might make it unsuitable for many newcomers. Like most programs, all of this isn’t perfect, and has it’s flaws.
For me, I’d warn them that they must take this seriously, especially from Lvl 3 and onwards.
Treat it like a day of school, if you will.
I’m saying this because a vast majority of members get forced into this program with little to no interest. Which is why I’m saying this so they could reconsider before devoting their time and energy into cadets.
Are you CCF or ATC?
Possibly Canadian Air Cadets. They have a “level 3” qualification
Hmmm, I would expect better behaviour than some pupils demonstrate!
