What is going on with leading cadet materials

So i recently have a group of cadets starting their leading cadet classification. I had our moi cadet nco go to teach this using the powerpoints and logbooks provided but had come back to me and said that it was far too difiicult to teach as the content is all over the place and doesn’t co-incide with their logbooks. I even had our c.i who is ex training pilot captain have a look at the powerpoint and try to explain it and he even said it was way too much and very difficult for the cadets to understand.

So could anybody give me any advice regarding this and how you are currently delivering leading cadet incl the logbooks?

Also when they do their exam at the end are they closed or open book exams?

Lastly be interested to know if you teach senior and master levels on squadron or do you let the cadets do it all self study?

thanks for your advice

We just deliver it as written. Unfortunately, the presentations haven’t been updated in a long time (which is a problem for airmanship). I’ve never used the logbooks for Leading so can’t comment on those.

Classification exams are supposed to be open book.

Deliver senior/master to most of our cadets because we have enough to justify a class. If it was only 2-3 then they would probably self study.

Edit to say if the instructor can go through an exam that would help. If there’s time, we sometimes get a cadet to log in and go through one as a group.
