What are you watching?

So watching Task master on catch up - anyone else watching it suddenly think “I may nick that task for the Sqn” ?

Binged you dont know me on netflix…was awesome…endings a bit pants though

Binge watching “Undeclared war”; it’s doing that horrible thing where fictional things are getting a little too close to fact!!

I finished it last night and was really disappointed with the ending.

Same.

I wanted to see the procedural side of war breaking out from GCHQs side.

6 episodes.
Could have been 4.

Would watch a 2nd series, but only if better than first.

Spooks used to be the same.

Ah yes, when is the next series of Black Mirror?

“The thick of it” bizarrely became that in a spooky way. It’s when they suggested a jokey policy in the show & then the government stated it as an actual policy a couple of days later was when it became too meta.

MRLP have managed that a few times…

Anyone got paramount+ yet? - I’m intrigued by the new Halo tv series (along with Star Trek Strange new Worlds)

The Boys on Amazon…
…just No!!!

I love it

It’s a con. They showed the first episode on channel 5 as a teaser but it wasn’t available on catchup.

Then you then you get a free 7 day trial. So i signed up for that, but they haven’t released all the episodes so you have to sign up for monthly payments to see all the episodes.

It’s OK, some great bits and some less great bits. Different story from the games and some cool features.

Thought that was the case - will look out for the dvd then

I really want to watch Strange New Worlds but I already subscribe the Netflix, Amazon and Disney+ can’t justify a 4th streaming service on top of Sky!

Just watching Valkyrie starring Tom Cruise as today is the 78th anniversary of the failed 20th July Plot to kill Hitler. So many died after this day as a result of this plot, and many hundreds of thousands more until the 8th of May 1945. RiP.

It always gets an ironic snort from me that no one seems to remember that their plan of successful was to continue the war in the hope of getting a better settlement and ideally a brokered peace with the West, while continuing the war in the East. (They were after all the same Senior Officers and aristocrats who were willing to back Hitler when all was going rosy for them).

They were also the same senior officer who were fully aware and supported the atrocities and policies during the invasion of Poland in 1939 onwards, of starving the population to feed the German army during its advance east. They also supported the actions of Operation Colibri more commonly known as the Night of the Long Knives in 1934.

The German army post WW2 claim to have fought a 'clean; war, which was and is an utter and complete lie. Very few Wehrmacht officers actually protected the Jewish population in the German conquered lands.
