What are you watching?

Really enjoyed Expanse - much better than a lot of these space cowboy operas we tend to get. As you say looked like they actually thought about how it would be and not just tried to move what we know into space (looking at you Star Wars - bombers and free fall bombs in space! - really!)

Have stuck with Picard as a die hard Trekker - but have had to give up on ST Discovery as it has got far too preachy - I get it and understand that having the messages is important but it does not have to be all the time…

State Opening of Parliament. I do like a good bit of ceremonial nonsense. Especially one with some “firsts” in it as Charlie boy takes over more and more.

Understatement of the decade.

So been hearing on the radio this morning about “Derry Girls”? Anyone watched it? Any good?

It’s quite funny

Started series 1 last week, loving it so far

Derry Girls is good.

Last night I discovered Love Sick (apparently also known as Scrotal Recall). It is a few years old but a quite a few laugh out loud moments.

Just finished Dexter New Blood in my lunch break. Whilst there are some flaws (not going to mention because of spoilers) and I would have loved to have seen the story spread over a longer series it was so much better than the way the original series ended.

I loved that. It also blew my mind that the Actor who plays the main protagonist also sang and played guitar in ‘The detectorists’ theme tune!

Oooh! I didn’t know that, that’s interesting.

Also, have now binged all 3 series. I feel a bit odd now, perhaps I should have spaced it out a bit more.

Ok I’ve binged watched the entire three series of Derry Girls - absolutely fantastic & each season was better than the previous. A fair few times I had to pause until I had stopped laughing. The episode on the train was cracking.

Soundtrack was fab and I remember every one of those songs & tracks growing up - roughly the same time the show was set.

Very good & very poignant & an easy watch.

Stranger Things Season 4 :grin::grin:

Gave the kids some musical education yesterday. This morning I could hear them running through OK Go’s back catalogue of incredible videos.

So I went and joined them.

Got around to watching Love, Death and Robots. At first it was great. Now I’m a bit confused, still good. I see why it’s 18+ :eyes: :eyes:

I’ve only seen the first set, forgot to watch the others.

It’s a great concept and I enjoyed each for different reasons.

I’m about half way through V1, and yeah, they really are great! Very bingeable…

Aha, so is this

due to the cyberpunk-esque episode?

I liked the cats one most I think.

As for what I’m watching right now, it’s the UCL Final.
