What are you watching?

I actually enjoyed the end of Lost. it was just a slog to get there, the producers wouldn’t let the writers finish, so there were seasons of never ending ‘middle’. Eventually it reached a nadir which gave the writers enough ammo to push for the end. Which I enjoyed.

I also appreciated the end of How I Met Your Mother, it was the only one which made sense in the context of the show as a whole, as otherwise, why start the story so far before the steps which actually led to the mother?**

Actually, it became a topical subject for many airlines - very rare to practice catastrophic failures like that in the simulator - although we had been doing this for several years previously.

After Sully, once all the mandatory “ticks” had been completed, we would play at the exact same scenario. Obviously each aircraft has different gliding characteristics, but I never made an airport! Don’t think anyone did. The only option was as advertised! Splash.

Gold medal flying / airmanship / CRM from the Sully crew.

Dave Filoni has smashed it again with the first episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch.

Looking forward to how this series builds on the changeover from the Republic to the Empire.

Jed Mercurio could learn a thing or two!!

We can all, always learn new things…

But you’re actively saying the creator of the most watched bbc drama in a very long time… can learn from a cartoon…?

Ahhh, good old ‘Animation is for kids’ (I mean, this show primarily is but come on).

Dave Filoni also produced the Mandalorian, I think he knows his Telly.

Don’t think I was expecting such a good bite @Paracetamol - just like I didn’t find LoD gripping, thrilling etc etc. (Frankly I found it quite boring - back in S1 hence why I didn’t carry on watching it through, then all I watched was S6 E5,6,7 because Ms. Vz was watching) i don’t expect Dave Filoni, Mandalorian, The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch to be everyones cup of tea either.

But to say he’s less of a writer because its a cartoon… come on, Mandalorian had 1.3 billion viewers (14.5 billion minutes streamed) for its last episode compared to the 12.8 million viewers that LoD had.

I’m watching Raised by Wolves. The 2013 comedy one - not the dark 2020 sci-fi one.

Found out yesterday that Colony season 3 is out! Really enjoyed S1&2 and so far really enjoying S3 too! Would highly recommended.

When Lucas did Filoni’s interview they spent hours discussing the Star Wars universe. He just gets it. The characters the lore.

When Favreau joined he sat down with Dillon and they Just chatted about characters and the universe. I wish that both had had some
Input into the 3 latest films.

Mandolorian is spot on it’s fantastic. Bad bunch is just as good. I really hope that Kennedy allows them
Both to do what they want. Cannot wait for Ashoka, Kenobi and Andor.

I’m not going to be a pushy parent. When the time is right, I will sit down and explain how life works to my daughters.

Show them what is good and bad, show them both sides of the coin… But ultimately they will make their choice in life…

Star Wars or Star Trek…

If they choose neither it’s time to get the bailiffs in and remove them from the house.

Unless they choose Stargate which is the Ginger Step-Son of the Star-xxxx world, despite being fantastic.

They’re allowed to like both. Although we all know Star Trek is better.

I like both just fine. And Battlestar Galactica (the original one). And Doctor Who. Most things, really.

The original BSG was ok… Until they reached earth, when it became a joke.
