Erm, I was referring to part of the show’s plot that’s now carried across into this series…

Easily missed if you looked away for a couple of seconds though!

Line of duty became an agenda point on this mornings board meeting :joy:

I missed last nights new Call the Midwife so I will be watching that later today.

So just watched last night’s Line of Duty! Felt a lot calmer than last week. I’m not sure if it’s because we are watching this season 'live’ish rather than on catch up but it feels more intense? May just because we watched the other seasons ages ago though!

My main criticism is there are just too many characters. I can’t keep up, even having looked at one of those recap pages.

Apparently Hastings was on one of the breakfast tv shows this morning and seemed to suggest there would be another season.

So tempted to look but not sure my boyfriend would forgive me and the guilt would eat me up so I can’t even lie about it!

Edit: he has just been looking bits up and told me what the trailer entailed. :woman_facepalming:

I think that’s a fair criticism - I usually recognise the names but can’t tell you who they are or what they did. That’s the price you pay for a six series arc though.

I think one more series would be good, but they should put it to bed while people still enjoy it rather than flogging it to death.

Fully agree and I believe this is something Breaking Bad did very well.

If they don’t find H in this series then they may well be pushing it too far.

I’d like to make a formal complaint…

… You’ve forced me to do it, so you’re all accountable…

… I’m already on episode 2 of season 1!!

Breaking bad didn’t do that well. They dragged it out longer than they should have

I would disagree. Yes, it brought many characters in but the storyline with each wasn’t as intertwined as LoD. Normally they’d be killed off or something would happen.

I just hope the LoD finale lives up to the hype.

I only watched the final season because I’m a completionist, but it was hard to make myself do it.

I found season 1 quite slow, but once I was past that I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Then a spin off series…

Maybe a prequel focusing on ‘the caddy’.
He was a great character.

You know show how he ended up bent.
Bit like what better call saul is to breaking bad.

Allows for cameos of steve and kate plus hastings of course.

Like the battle you know…

Not sure Jed Mercurio is the spin off type.

(EDIT: Surprised to learn that Mercurio was an RAF doctor for a bit).

Deadliest catch is back.

On normal TV? Or fancy TV?

I watched a Netflix original film ‘Run’ last night, I’d highly recommend.

I watched about half of Thunderforce on Netflix. I’d highly recommend digging your eyes out with a rusty spork before even thinking about turning it on…
