What are you watching?

Managed to do both afternoon and evening in the past. They are slightly longer, as they cut out the turn around between acts.

Never realised there were two/repeated events …that must be hard on the bereaved families …having to do that all that twice in one day …the emotions must be almost un bearable!

£15 a months isn’t 3x the standard cost of most other streaming services, standard Netflix is £13 a month so is Disney+

I get both of them for £5 or £6 each a month.

“my dad works for Nintendo” vibes

Well that’s the next profile change sorted.

Not such a good deal on the WiFi, but I was desperate to get away from Virgin, with their insistence on including TV and phone packages that I didn’t use.

These are with advertising, of course, because why wouldn’t I let the buyers of those advertised products subsidise my subscriptions?

If you’re paying and still getting adverts, what’s the point of paying?

Yo ho ho…

Surely your only getting standard definition at that rate as well?

No, it’s HD (although maybe not 4K) but limited to 2 devices, no downloads, etc.

The only time no downloads becomes an issue is when I’m on cruises and the WiFi isn’t good enough to stream.

Adverts or no adverts?

When I looked earlier the Netflix no adverts was a lot more expensive (£18 / month) than a TV license (which also supports national & local radio, BBC monitoring & some of the soft defence/foreign officer power that were beneficial to British influence)

With ads, just like you get on most of the channels you can watch with a TV licence.

So since a lot of the premium offer are no adverts it’s only fair when comparing streaming services with the BBC license that it’s against the no advert option.

In this case, Netflix is a lot more expensive but Now & Prime are cheaper.

I dknt even consider Prime a streaming service, it’s a delivery service that comes with TV channels.

Movie back to topic,

Just discovered the blacklist with James spader.

Excellent thriller /Spy intrigue episodic in nature with a large number of series so worth bingeing.

The story mirrors very closely that of my Gramps who I lost earlier this year.

That was beautiful, thanks for sharing it @Tornado .

Randomly putting the tele on & it’s songs of praise.

They are doing a run down of the top school assembly hymns - proper nostalgia overload

Stranger Things is trumping sleep for the remainder of the week
