Very sad.
For those of you who were connected to Cadet Shooting, specifically Air Cadets, ISCRM, CCRS & Athelings. I have heard that Wing Commander George Campbell (based in Glasgow) passed away last night following a recurring fight with cancer. I’ll add funeral details when I have them.
Another of the old guard gone. Cracking sense of humour & along with Peter Turner, Steve Williams, Andy Warman & Matt Oram were a fantastic punch of passionate target shooters that the sport on.
Will be sadly missed.
A sad loss, Cracking bloke who was a character! and we need characters!
Wing Commander George Campbell was the best Wing Commander West Scotland Wing of the Air Cadets ever had. He had integrity, honesty and humanity.
RIP my friend. God bless
