So in a ‘conversation’ about a national comms team, it is wrong to make a point that not everyone accesses air cadet emails et al on their personally owned mobile devices. There seems to be an assumption in some quarters that everyone is waiting for their mobile devices to ding/ping/buzz and doing this, as a result the method of communicating things imo currently assumes this, when it is wrong.
We only do this a few hours a week unpaid and this should be respected by those purporting to be in charge of volunteers.
Nothing wrong to have everything via email, but wrong to assume that an email etc comes out and we’re all going to read or be aware of it immediately, so any revised communication system takes this into account, so that people don’t miss out.
