Wearing a watch with No 2A (Wedgewoods) Uniform & other "rules" which are not rules

Me too.

TIL.

Sleeves may be rolled up.

No must.

Is your new WWO the in house WWO?

I’m constantly telling them to roll sleeves down… and most of them can’t roll their sleeves properly even when the activity allows it.

Greens is sleeves normally down but may be worn up when the weather is warm.
Working blue is sleeves normally up but may be worn down when cold.

Whoops. My default is greens sleeves up. They even call the shirt a lightweight jacket.

I’m down… Only because I think PCS shirts look gash rolled up :joy:

Cheers!

They do, I like to get an extra roll on it too so the rolled up sleeve is over the Velcro plate…

Otherwise I seem to get a weird clicking noise when I throw up a salute and I have to promise the cadets It’s the shirt, not my elderly body clicking and cracking and falling apart.

I’m sure we can still be friends…?

Some new agenda points for Tuesdays NCO meeting

I find the PCS LWJ sleeves depend on the mark. The MK2 without the silly lower arm padding pockets roll easy. The MK1s require the velcro to be cut where the folds are to roll.

One just has to change one’s technique… (And get rid of the forearm pocket velcro).

Or just get an MTP barrack shirt.

Yeah, NOW.

But for the early adopters, we had to make do and mend!

I still haven’t been able to easily find one of these.

Yeah it’s my go to when in No3

My local surplus had them new for a fiver a while ago.

I found this video from the RM genuinely useful

I’m not against sleeves up per se, more that most activities I run that require PCS are also sleeves down

Going to pinch that video for my Sqn.
Ta.
