Yeah, my local is cheaper than GW - I used to manage the store that the gaming/hobby dept was part of, I found GW are very proactive in supporting the independent especially if there isn’t one of their outlets nearby. Margins were good for the retailer, even at lower than RRP pricing.

Hobbycraft now sell WH… at full RRP.
Went in the other day, and all of the boxes were empty, either they’re using some common sense or they have a lot of light fingered visitors for their other things…

I saw a client yesterday in school. He was in a mood because I pulled him out of a “brilliant” and “engaging” history lesson.
Apparently the teacher decided to teach them about the Battle of Agincourt, but reenacted it on a modelling table using Space Marines Vs various Chaos factions.
I caught up with said teacher in the staff room at lunch and shared the positive feedback the client had given me. Fell into a discussion about it, and challenged him about why he wasn’t using historical accurate minifigs. The response - from a teacher of history - was “because Warhammer 40k is way cooler than actual history”.
