I am still in the uncertain camp as it all seems to be rushed with no clear plan how the resignation/re-commission process will be handled, what any new Terms and conditions etc will be and if there is any benefit to it to me as an individual.
I am not expecting there to be and as currently part of a military based organisation I accept what they say goes, but still curious.
Most of what I like to do I can do as easily as a CI and whilst at present I accept a lot of the tedious procedures are necessary due to the RAF rules and systems I await with interest if any of that will be relaxed in the future (and no, I don't expect it to, but hey why not)
I have accepted being an admin bitch for the past few years partially for the warm fuzzy feeling that my RAFVR(T) commission has given me and it feels a bit of a poor show by the ivory towers to now be told that it wasn't worth anything anyway. (No Walt-ism from me, just an inner warm fuzzy feeling)
So what I need to decide is wether the buggeration factor, together with the additional admin processes of blue badge and ever increasing forms and lack of SMS talking to Sharepoint for course nominations etc is worth me signing on again as a uniform CFAV as the appeal of uniform rules and regs diminish quickly.
Long live the Corps, or whatever we call ourselves, but it is time for me, and a fair few others, to consider the amount of time I have available to it in the future.
