How do I go about adding supernumary CFAV to my Sqn register when they’re from another wing? Is it perm staff only or can receiving OC initiate?

Receiving OC initiates a role assignment for the supernumerary CFAV in VP, the CFAC in question and the “primary” OC have to then approve the workflow on VP.
On this theme, what’s the current process for a. Transferring a Cadet b. adding them as supernumerary?
We did it recently for a cadet and I think the primary unit has to get in touch with Wing/Region to initiate the appointment. I don’t think there is a way for CFAV to do it.
For CFAVs all transfers & supernumerary appointments are now processed via the Volunteer Portal Role Appointments module, there is a help guide on this on the digital hub: Create Role Appointment
Dependent on the movement will determine the approval, but it is always first accepted by the individual and then approved by the losing OC.
There was a bug that prevented Squadrons from doing this which I think was fixed at the start of the month linked to “transferring Cadets” - Bader Software Update - 1 October 2025
That’s for full transfers, not for supernumerary. I still can’t attach someone to another unit as well as my own without asking paid staff.

Has the ‘Cadet Absence’ report been disabled?
Displays no data now and was probably one of the most useful ways to track cadets that had fallen by the wayside - Last Attendance date was really easy to find rather than checking individual records

Nope, works fine for me. Have you had permissions changed? Or not put any registers on?
no changes that I can see - everything else appears to be normal
