Recently I have noticed that some of our cadets, have qualifications recorded on their SMS account that they haven’t achieved. It could of course be “user error” on our part, but I have spoken to my other staff and no one recalls inputting the awards, one was when we were in lockdown.
Has anyone else noticed this? I have sent an email to our Bader POC.
Its a shame you can’t see when and by who the qualification was added.
Go to the cadets profile and click on audit. It gives you a list of everytime someone has viewed or edited a page on that profile
Just a bit that this only available to COs & above.
Ah. I hadn’t realised that. But makes sense. It’s fun to look at the audit page of your own page and see who at HQAC has been looking at you
I have had a look, but there is no record of the qualification being updated. But it shows on their record.
If it was updated via a course they had their name on I don’t think anything would show up in the audit. They may have accidentally had their name to an SMS event that they never attended and the staff member running the event added a qualification to all attendees?

Tony just doeant want or like to use the word ‘volunteer’ it’s a bit like a vampire going into daylight…
He would have to acknowledge the whole volunteering aspect and respect what we do then.
Just noticed theres a new section called My Approvals on Cadet portal, cant find anything about it in the update logs. Whats it for?
Suspect this is linked to the workflow if you update your cadet profile picture which is needed to meet criteria XYZ for MyRAFAC which is coming soon.
It’s for if you change something on your profile that needs approving by your unit staff, like your profile picture. You can also cancel your approvals as well.
Sorry if this is in another post somewhere but with the change to JPA, how do we actually claim VA? I’ve found payslips but no actual way to make a request on Defence Gateway or Volunteer Portal
I found IBN04/22 which says the paper based process remains the same? Is this still the case or has it gone online somewhere as I’m lost.
The only change so far is the number to enter at the top of the Accts 80 or 1771 now uses the JPA number.
Further the “remuneration slip” will not be posted but available on Defence Gateway.
