Nope but several cadets have raised they have bid for an event happening tomorrow but not showing as bidded our end so haven’t been selected

@james_elliott @Ben_Wakefield May I ask what action happens when the “Resend Welcome Email” button is clicked for a cadet who is already setup and logging in to Cadet Portal?

It will resend the welcome email to the email address listed on the cadets SMS record. The welcome email doesn’t change and will look like this:

Will that link to set a password work after the account’s initially been set up (ie can we use it as an alternative way to reset a password)?

If they click the link, they can then go through the process of account recovery and set a new password. It will want to send them a code somewhere for multi-factor authentication and that will be to the records held for them (e.g. email, mobile phone, landline etc).

First time I’ve had a notification that a cadet has withdrawn from an activity. Good system.

You only get a notification of a withdrawal from a cadet if the deadline for returns has passed.

Never had that before, and it’s a good notification.

Granted, I’ve only got the one active SMS application right now, but it’s showing to me (a real technophobe) of how the system can be used.

Anybody else having issues uploading training programmes on the Unit Admin tab?

I upload it, but I just get this error message:

I’m just trying to upload a PDF like I usually do.

It’s also not letting me delete anything.

Looks good, just a couple questions…

1. The ‘My Brassard’ section seems like it has a couple bugs - Leadership and DofE badges at the least - are quite out of proportion to how they should be and were before this update. This might affect other badges but these were the 2 of mine impacted
   
   
2. I’m just wondering why some ‘My Training’ sections have been re-phrased as a badge level (e.g. Essential First Aid rather than simply First Aid to represent the entire discipline), but others, like Classifications, show up as Classification rather than Master AIr Cadet or other relevant level.

My concern with this second change is the fact that previously Aviation and Classification (2 of the most important components of the RAFAC experience, would always show up first, however now my Adv. Cyber Specialist shows up first followed by Basic Leadership (Bronze) and the Blue RM and Trumpeter badges I don’t have.

I would personally advocate returning to the system of just showing the subject’s name on the My Training page, with the ability to view specifics once inside a certain subject areas page. This makes it a little easier for NCOs to support new cadets, and some of our cadets with autism/aspergers, with using Cadet Portal, and giving them clear and specific instructions as to where to go to check or view a certain thing. This is made slightly harder (as many are unaware of the DofE cypher) if I have to tell them to look for “Bronze Award” or “Silver Award” or whatever which doesn’t even reference the name DofE whatsoever in the title, when simply DofE should suffice. This isn’t a complaint, I just really cant see why this change was made?

Finally, though this is very much off topic, is there any update on the progress of replacing Ultilearn yet??

@AMW If you haven’t already, use the feedback button within cadet portal to mention the bugs you are seeing with the My Brassard section. Although there are staff on here who will see it, it’s always best if logged though the proper means so all the staff working on this project can see it!

The bugs above have been squashed with the latest release which went out yesterday.
