A Vigilant in private hands crashed the other day in Gloucester.
Pilot said he’s not lucky because if he was he wouldn’t have crashed in the first place!
Not a Vigilant but a privately owned Grob 109B. Just to clarify this particular aircraft involved in the incident was never owned by the MOD or Aerobility. Just the same aircraft type. Some reporting inaccuracies.

To be fair, the Daily Mail doesn’t state that this particular one used to be part of the RAFAC fleet. Just that:
