You’ll need to download the GovOne app, but it was relatively quick to run through. Will need passport (with digital chip) to hand + current selfie to upload.

I’m going to give it a miss. Still not sure what the point of a Veterans Card is either way, let alone encouraging digital IDs (I’m fine with physical ones).

I mean, anyone can apply…
I’ve done it as the veteran ID doesn’t make it into my physical wallet on account of still having an active ID too.
Hoping it’ll add it to my “Apple Wallet” rather than just being in this app, but I’ll see.
If you have issues, delete the app and re-download. Mine wasn’t playing ball at first.
I was actually joking, as I would never claim to be a veteran

Sorry, that was in fact perfectly clear. I was just having my usual dig at titles like ‘civilian instructor’ and ‘civilian committee’ in an organisation where most of us are civilians and some of the people with those titles are serving or vets.
One of my tgt rifle shooting friends recently returned from a long holiday in the USA - the card got him lots of discounts & preferential treatment - also entry (I think) into the Military Lounge at Memphis airport.

Whatever you do DONT use it at Sea world.
You get a camera focus, tannoy announcement & standing ovation if you are not careful……
I’ve known people get VIP treatment all over in the states.
Good gen on Seaworld. Sounds cringe.

It was a story told me by a couple of officers from a SATT team, one of whom used their MOD90.
It was whilst afghan/Iraq was going on & it was described as cringe as you expect.
Given I spent 3 years essentially sat in a portacabin watching Jeremy Kyle, that would be very well deserved…
I got into Kennedy Space Centre for free many years ago with my 1250 (as it was then).
When I asked for a military discount the very nice lady in the ticket booth said ‘Sir, you get in for free’.

Posted previously - but you can get good military discount for Disney & other attractions with this place, near to Orlando.
States only now for US Serving or Vets.
