We have a parade night on Thursday, what VE related actives could we do? We already have a quiz planned but not much else!

A bit short notice but in the past for a similar event we did a street party style event at the Sqn, make your own flags and bunting competition with a quiz and war-time games.
What about ready steady cook type activity but with rationing

Went to the V80 concert at Horse Guards last night.
Not usually my taste in music but production was good.
Dragging cadets from horsguards to embankement at 1030pm in a heaving central London was less fun
Any accom recommendations, we were looking at going over this year but prices seem to have rocketed
Ask 7 Overseas (Jersey) Sqn? They might know of some reasonably priced options? Doss down in their building? 
Camping a possibility?

Ha ha - Les Ormes is nearby to 7, probably not the cheapest. I stayed quite a few times with previous company at the Radisson Blu, very acceptable for location. Trouble is, looks like most Jersey hotels haven’t released prices for 2026 yet. AirBnB about £120 / night for May 2026.

They have everywhere. We stay in the Royal Yacht on Liberation Square. Parking in the island is difficult, if you can take the bus everywhere. The bus station is 5 mins walk from the hotel and you can get 3 and 7 day tickets. The Lamplighter just next door is excellent and you can get the hotel internet if you sit at the back, they also do warmed pork scratching with apple sauce.

Incredible hotel, I stayed here for free after my flight back to the mainland was cancelled.
