thread dredge - does anyone know how we order these now?
Iāve not ordered them for years. The last order I can find was 2018, and that was from green frog. Ā£30 for 70 badges, and the quality was crap. Will DM you a photo!
Iād go with Franklins to be safeā¦
I have half an idea that the last batch for my Sqn came from Cadet Direct, they certainly sell them now at great expense. The last time I dealt with an order of Sqn identifiers would be, looking at this thread, early 2016ā¦
Ā£95 for 100 badges
Yeah Dawnās mate can do one.
Any updates on this? Can anyone point me in the direction of the official document that says where/how to order unit number badges for brassards?
Might be worth an email to the Logs Sqn Ldr. Heās pretty responsive.
AFAIK the only time there was any official document or policy was when there was an IBN telling us these are now private purchase. And that was a long time ago now! And it may well have just been a mass email or announcement, not an IBN, so unlikely to find it now.
Iāve just done an email dredge. The most official thing I can find is as follows:
Dear All,
Many question shave been asked about unit ID badges, the below information explains the process starting 08th September 2018, this info is also available on the rolling briefing on Bader.
Squadron ID Badges
It was agreed at the Command Board earlier this year and briefed at the RAFAC Convention in May that with immediate effect, Sqn ID Badges are to be purchased by the by the individual Sqns. Wg Cdr TG has advised that Sqns can purchase their own badges directly from the suppliers which include Franklins in Northern Ireland and Green Frog Promotions in Leicester.
That was September 2018. So Franklins and Green Frog at least were āofficialā suppliers at the time.
Thank you!
Last batch I ordered I went to a local company, took one in, asked if they could do them - not a problem, great quality, quick turnaround, no postage, minimum order was 25 and great price too.
