What is says on the tin - I have heard rumour that Turner Virr have lost their contract to produce uniforms.
This is a p.i.t.a for me as I am waiting on kit and we are about to head in to parade season, but I am not surprised if it is true.
Anyone able to confirm or deny?
Ergh i was going to buy some no5s direct from them

if its the contract they have lost then getting 5s should not be an issue as thats private purchase
You may actually get reasonable service and quality if it is a private purchase!

People actually buy 5’s? I can’t think of any occasion to wear them that would justify the outlay.

You will still be able to buy uniform from them, it’s just whether the MoD is buying from them or not.

Conversely, I have never owned or worn No5s and actively avoid activities that might require them.
There should always be an alternative dress available, but those who feel they can justify military dining pyjamas should free to spend their own money on them if they wish.

4’s, surely?
4s or 2A, or non-uniform alternatives such as a suit, highland dress, a nice shirt, clean jeans and a polo shirt…

Highland dress is fairly specific to our general area.
