He didn’t even last 12 Scaramuchis.
He’s done well tbh. Got in, canceled loads of contracts with his competitors. Given Tesla and SpaceX more contracts. Stolen leads of social security data, then left before he ends up in too much trouble. Certainly got a lot from his relatively small $1m donation.
But also tanked his retail business.

Tesla sales will likely bounce back within a few months of Elon keeping his nose clean.

Is he coming off the ket?
The only reason he’s leaving is an Investor revolt and board jitters.
Although the board couldn’t get rid because he’s the majority of Tesla’s value, he now has to get in line because his companies are all of his worth.
He might not care about his legacy in terms of raising his kids, but he does care about it not being that he tanked one of the largest companies ever.
Bankrupting Tesla would almost be as bad as going broke as a casino.
but surely no one has ever done that with any business sense or leadership qualities?

So what happens if Trump just ignores the courts?
If it went far enough surely he’d just preemptively pardon himself of any crimes, including contempt of court?
Then we get into constitutional crisis territory. If Trump decides to ignore the Supreme Court (if it gets to that) then he needs to be impeached. If the rest of the republicans decide that he’s allowed to ignore the Supreme Court, then they’re in trouble.

I think there are enough Republicans who still care about the constitution to get him impeached if he goes that far. I doubt he’d go quietly though.
