After submitting paperwork back in October, I have finally had my wing filter board for commissioned officer.
Glad to say that the feedback was positive and the board are happy to push me on to the next step, Regional interview I know this for my wing is currently a 4 month wait.
One thing the panel want me to take up is an exec roll on my squadron, and the one ear marked is training officer.
Our current TO on squadron does an outstanding job and I know i can learn a lot from them.
I know ACTO 094 has a matrix of what is expected from the role, does anyone know of a TO guide / cheat sheet ?
This is absolutely bonkers, what company has 2 stage interview process with a 4 month gap!
Can you share your region please for context? In my mind this should be a major focus for the RCs to get us more staff into uniform without an off putting delay.
Sharepoint has the answer to the original question - TORs - SQN Trg Officer is your search for that one. I would then just run it by your OC/other staff to make sure there aren’t any cross overs. For example on there it mentions making sure that all cadets are ready for exams etc, your training programme may already have other staff teaching and they are logging it. It should be the case that the TOR’s are relevant to your Sqn and OC’s requirements too as there maybe other bits to add in. Due to “staff shortage” our training officer is also the DofE coordinator and has that additional role added to the TOR.
