Tips for Crowborough/brunswick

im a reqruit and am taking part in croborough but i dont want to fail, what should i bring and do?

Most on here not being from the same Wing/Sqn as you won’t know the requiremnets of this event. You are best talking to NCOs at your squadron to find out what you need to know. I would expect a kit list to be available on Cadet Portal or from your squadron staff.

Step one, spell it correctly. Crowborough

But don’t stress. Many Sqns run these sort of recruit style weekends, and realistically, you can’t fail. You’ll have the support of your fellow new cadets, your cadet NCOs, and your staff.

Just make sure to read through what ever joining instructions you get and follow them properly.

I was a Surrey Wing cadet in the 80’s - Crowborough was one of our regular AT weekends…

Freezing cold billets and going to the NAAFI and daring each other to try and order a beer (aged 15!)

Vaguely remember a someone on the gate (?) called “Animal” who had their own 4 tonner…

  • doesn’t help with your preparation, but you’ll probably remember the weekend for decades to come…

Had to change the subject to correct spelling as future searches may be hindered :grimacing:
