The propeller has come off

Anyone got any updates with AEF - nothing heard on our end and we are coming up to a year with no powered flying in the ‘air’ cadets - parents are asking questions and starting to make life difficult!!!

We had an email with allocations for about half the wing sent to us a few weeks ago, slots started early October but ours isn’t until December.

Got slots on remembrance day :frowning:

we were flying today at Benson

You jusr have tell them these things take time in the modern age. It’s not as simple as changing something on a car, as the prop’s had to be signed off, then an oil modification made etc.

Safety first. 3 cadet lives in the last few years was enough.

There is a report on South West Region SharePoint.

I am fully aware of the need for safety.

Thanks, thats really helpful

Good opportunity to locate local ceremonies and get some flypasts in.

I’m sure you are, and I didn’t say you weren’t (and if you thought otherwise you had the wrong end of the stick  ) But are the parents aware of the situation, the “shared” nature of the aeroplanes etc, and where AEF flying sits in the list of priorities? As a staff member you’re their SME, and need to answer them as best you can.

(Which is made easier by the hierachy disseminating the information throughout the organisation as required)

Looks like we are up and running again - 3 slots next week

You have 3 in 1 week?!
