The future of cadet shooting within the RAFAC

TS25 would surely meet the criteria…

This Scout page implies that the NRSA regs are based on our own anyway, so should be all good?

That’s good to know. So, after my last IRT Mod. 1 I was able to add the WHT to SMS by entering the RAF Regt cpl’s service number. How will this work next time, as I’m neither a WI(C) nor a SAAI(CF)?

Really? Well, that means a general principle has been set perhaps?

Hopefully this can translate across to a much wider sphere.

Youll have to get a SAAI to enter it on your behalf.

Yes I was speaking to them about it. I’ll ask when they are back in after the break.

ACF are using it in place of TS25. It even goes out to their camps.

Assuming I know a RAFAC SAAI, would I send them a screenshot of the JPA record?

Why is your L85 currency relevant to the RAFAC, I wouldn’t bother uploading it.

There’s always been an entry for it. I assumed it would count for L98 as well, since the only difference is the absence of a change lever.

Nope, there is a conversion detailed in a volume of ACP 18.

They are then entirely seperate WHTs

That’s CARITS, not approved for our use yet but might be in the future.

Our TSA said it was approved and that we could get that instead as we have storage issues for the “approved” one…

TSAs do like to think they are a law unto themselves.

Probably worth checking with the RAFAC range advisory.

I just checked and they are coming with updates to our docs happening in the new year so not wasted money.

I can’t find any info about what these look like or cost but we are looking into ranges options and would love to learn more. Does anyone have more info?

I don’t know what it’s commercial product name is unfortunately, someone on here might?

I wouldn’t buy anything yet, with the air rifle uplift business case going in you may get it all for free.

we don’t (as far as i can recall) have them for shotguns and clay pigeon shooting is common enough in the organisation.

As which point does a “firearm” become an “item of war” or an “item of sports equipment” as this as far as i can tell is the difference between “shooting” and “clay pigeon” shooting

erm…shotguns?

This is definitely the preferred option but was interested to see a portable option as could be combined with fieldcraft offering
