Stunning Vulcan Internal Cockpit 360/360

Check this out…I knew the Vulcan was cramped, but my admiration of the OP BLACK BUCK crews has increased by at least 200%

Nice find, takes me back to my childhood, used to love visiting the Vulcan at E Mids Aeropark, they had it open so you could sit in the cockpit. Even as a child it was hard to move around in there!

they still allow you to sit in the cockpit at the Coventry air museum (at the airport). you have to be supervised and no doubt it will be an “old vet” who shows you round so you may get an “Uncle Albert” with some interesting or equally tiring stories!

We have ordered a 360/ 360 camera at work but are still awaiting delivery…

Having seen the Vulcan photo I can see a friendly letter being sent to a few of the helicopter companies at my local airport

I did my Flying Scholarship at Wellesbourne Mountford, where XM655 is enjoying her retirement. During the course, we often used to sneak a peak on board but on one occasion a couple of old boys who had flown her rocked up and we got the real gen. As one of them put it:

“It was like flying your house by looking through the letterbox.”

Given the cost of it (over £10k) it won’t be loaned out … but I’m sure I can come along and press the buttons. Will be good for Wing parade also

Part of the delivery delay is due to the latest batch being sent to a few of our special forces friends. The camera is very quick and easy to use, arrive at recon spot, jump out, take photo, jump back in, leg it…
