We want to create some literature/leaflets etc for promotion
Most of our photos are quite poor quality, or not of the fun stuff (ie flying or gliding, shooting etc).
Are there any stock images we can get hold of anywhere , like SharePoint?
The media hub on Sharepoint has a campaign toolkits library containing posters, SM etc all generic stuff might save you some time & effort creating your own.

Indeed it is better to use the standard materials if you can. And they are actually pretty good these days.
