What is a Station Commanders Cadet?
Similar to a lord lieutenants cadet, just accompanies the station commander of an RAF station.
How do you go about becoming one? Thanks
No idea. Probably more or less the same criteria as a lord-looey cadet. Ask your squadron staff…
Not done in my wing as there are not any RAF stations within the geographical boundaries of the wing.
All depends if teh current local Station Commander wants one or not
I would think you’d need an RAF station nearby as a start and then for the staish to think he needs one.
To be one … lots of badges.
Woodvale is looking at getting one soon
Valley, Shawbury and Brize have one as does Odiham
Bit embarrassing if you ended up being said cadet.
At the age of 43, I may be a tad too old!!
I’ll rephrase. A bit embarrassing for whoever ends up being said cadet.
Why Embarrassing?
Not much there besides a UAS, very little if any junior ranks.
2 UAS
1 AEF
1 Aux Sqn (with Junior ranks)
1 Wing HQ
Admittedly its not the biggest station in the country but does that really matter?
