Squadron dinner footwear females

I have a squadron dinner in a couple days, is there any types of shoes I can’t wear? I have heals that don’t show toes so would they be okay?

If you’re in civilian clothing, then you should be fine wearing anything that is in keeping with the formality of the civilian clothing.

If you’re in interim dress, your normal uniform shoes.

Sorry, I don’t think I read your full post properly.

Those heels sound like they’ll be fine. I’ve never known toe visibility be a consideration.

All good as long as there are no ankles on show…

Good point.

I’m assuming we’re talking typical winter event dress code (ball gown — long dress, down to the ankles) rather than a summer dress code (cocktail dress — shorter dress, down to the knees).

Ah okay thank you I didn’t know about that.

Let me drag out my old Cranditz etiquette guide (wot I used to have to teach, including knives & forxxs!) - I seem to remember something about no bare shoulders too.

Sorry, I was making a joke about us being old fashioned!

Flew over my head too.

With a stinging kicker now that I’ve just been reminded I’m old…

And the girls have to be like this too… right?

And no bear arms, because we’re not American.

@Cdt.R are you happy with the serious answer at the top, now that we’ve undergone our traditional collective regression?

Or do you want something else sensible (like it sounds like your current shoes are).

Without a picture, i couldnt say if they were appropriate.

However, id rather a cadet tried to follow in the spirit of the rules and had fun and a good experience, rather than miss out or spend extra cash
