Out of curiosity does anybody know if sqn drum majors are eligable to wear the blue band badge and if so what are the requirements to earn it. I dont have acess to the relevent acto.

Drum Majors are not entitled to a badge. Page 6 of ACTO123. If you were a drum major who can play an instrument to grade 3 then you would be able to wear the relevant badge for the instrument.
Unless representing wing/region/corps then they will be given appropriate bronze/silver/gold.

Speak to your oc to contact thewing band master about opportunities. There is no formal course to become a drum major
