I had someone on my SNCO course back in the day who was told his unit ID badge was too low, and needed moving up. Which meant he also had to remove and restitch the ATC badge, classification badge and leadership badge also needed removing and restitching to all stay touching. He had a not so fun evening.
I’d have cut the top off the brassard.
