Solidarity

I see on the air cadets Facebook page that commandant was out and about in her MTP.

I think the real important issue here is that she seems to always be out and about interacting with cadets, which is positive, but being the head off an organisation that stipulates NO MTP to her subordinates is hypocritical, regardless if see is entitled to wear it as a reservist.

I always get enjoyment out of “do as I say not as I do” brigade.

Quite simply AP1358C Does not apply to the Commandant as she is not in the VR(T), She is in the RAFR and comes under AP1358. She has little choice but to wear what she is issued.

Spot on Baldrick!!

Not only that but do you think the rest of the RAF would take her serioulsy if she turned up in CS95 instead of MTP?

But who really cares?? way to many people throwing their Teddys out because they cant wear MTP we are the ACO not RAF.

I believe the boss would prefer to wear CS95 for exactly the reasons that lead balloon gives. However, she cannot wear uniform she is not entitled to wear, so in fact, she is showing solidarity BY FOLLOWING DRESS REGS

Ok that told me!

Regulars and reservist are still scaled to wear DPM.

Personally I would make the effort to blend in whilst around the organisation, be part of the team. Dress like the big boys when needed.

I belive that AP1358 says they can still wear CS95 however I belive it is no longer being issued its at that odd limbo stage between the two

Sorry, sounded a bit mean, the bold bit was more aimed at the walts that Zinggy was talking about. Not meaning to be personal.

uh oh he said the W word!! :stuck_out_tongue: Sorry its just everywhere I turn someone is going on about MTP and sorry to lead baloon for going off on one :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess she can wear what she wants. Who’s going to tell her different. Lol.

Personally, I think MTP is scruffy anyway. It’s awful to iron, has far too much velcro, has silly slanted panels for TRF. Just awful.

But, then again I’m ex-Guards so…

I suppose it’s not really relevant and I’m sure it’s been said before, but this seems to be one of the things that forces types and civvy types seem to totally disagree on.

I’ve lost track of the number of time someone has mentioned how smart my PCS is compared to the CS95 they used to see me wearing…

I do believe you’re the first Woodentop to have joined this site…

Not been called that for a while. Lol.
I can make it worse… I was RMP too!!

The good news is it cant get any worse than that :stuck_out_tongue: lol

True. After all I could have been a PTI
