SMS Access for cadets

With that logic you would only buy festival tents for expeditions etc

Hmmmm
Clearly not all areas of the UK are equal.
Ever thought that.

But yes insurance blah blah.

Funny thing is pep I think we are quite alike.
Especially on the strong will part.

I don’t understand. I’ve never said we aren’t?

I’m just offering a reason as to why we butt heads all the time.

But back to topic.

My SNCOs above age 16 are give access to SMS, over 18 full access (bar a couple of minor bits, such as adding new staff etc).

I keep it to 16 and over simply as over 16s are typically that little bit more mature. Only reason.
Not many sncos under 16 though.

Good point, well made.

It’ll come down to what your OC is happy with, but personally, as a cadet SNCO I was using the Sqn General Account to email, and now as a Training Officer, I’d have no issue with cadets using the sqn email, permitting they held the appropriate decorum.

In my experience a lot of staff are ‘scared’ of being emailed by staff cadets. Either because they think they shouldn’t be and its a CFAVs job or because of safeguarding concerns. It’s a pain.

And that was years ago!

And these days, especially Staff Cadets, there even more reason for them to be emailing other squadrons.

Yeah I’m basing on the assumption that any thing sent to and from bader addresses will be stored in the cloud somewhere as a level of protection

How could I gain acess to SMS and event management as an SNCO?

You OC would need to create you an account and give you the relevant permissions.
