Ah, that makes more sense
Unbelievable ending to that game.
Even Mrs Farmer, who hates rugby, was glued to the screen for the last 10. At least this saves a family dispute her side for the final. Half of her family are Kiwis.
It’s hard to be disappointed though.
We had all written ourselves off before the tournament; I thought we’d struggle to exit the pool stage.
We’ve then gone on to not only get to a semi, but to hold the World #1 and World Champions to a single point after leading for 77 minutes, only really being let down by their dominant scrummaging and a couple of handling errors.
It’s a great foundation to build for Australia 2027.
South Africa have never lost a RWC final. So all I can say tonight is “kia kaha, Aotearoa!”
What ever happens, this should be a good game!
It’s already looking good 2 minutes in!
Well then, that’s an early yellow!
I reckon that fall was deliberate. Saffas have no other specialist hooker, this was an attempt to neutralise SA’s scrum.
If they call it deliberate he’d be red carded. Surely they wouldn’t risk doing something like that maliciously?!
Difficult to say, it is a RWC final and if you see the opportunity to neutralise your opponents main strength, wouldn’t you take it?
Nah. They all know everything gets looked at in the bunker. There’s so many cameras to catch fowl play. You’d really like to think they wouldn’t. Unless they were 100% sure they could get away with it.
I agree to an extent, but even at the highest professional level emotions can make minds cloudy.
Bongi being a tactical replacement? I smell some male cow excrement.
I didn’t really follow that? So he left as a substitution, rather than injury?
Yep, that’s what Wayne Barnes has been told.
If he left injured he can’t return. Tactical he can.
Red card inbound.
Yeah , that has red written all over it, surely. They were both coming down though, so who knows.
I think Sam Cane’s only potential saving grace is that it’s the final, so they’ll probably be a bit more lenient.
Weird to see NZ give away at least 2 yellows in one half though; their discipline used to be top notch.
