Riat

Just looked at prices for RIAT this weekend…£45/£40! Does anyone know if there are reductions for staff and cadets attending that are not part of the Air Cadet contingent there already?

Well the forces dont get discount anymore so I doubt cadets do (well at least they didnt 2 years ago)

Found this: http://www.rewardsforforces.co.uk/search.php?q=Royal+international

A fiver in the right direction!

From an e-mail I saw, cadets in uniform with 38’ (of any age) get free entry, if they are with a full-paying CFAV.

But yet if a serving member of the RAF still has to pay that is so wrong

That is wrong.

I’ve only ever been as ‘work’, so I’ve not been charged.

No its not, its a charitable organisation.

Work. Right… Posing with a bunch of non-service weapons that your organisation cannot use is not work.

I know. That’s why I put ‘work’ in little inverted commas. It’s called irony.

Would you like a hug?

What planet do you live on?? tell me why a cadet should get in free and not memebers of the Forces?

That is wrong.

Yeah I have only been there for work did 6 years in a row working in the Flight Center and doing the recruiting side of things always had a good laugh

As pointed out above, I’ve only done recruiting, but it was a lot of fun.

Under 16s get in free too, should they pay?

Thats fair enough but Cadets over the age of 16 get in free… which really shouldnt happen.

Where does it say that? There’s nothing on the website saying cadets get in free, and I’ve just bought them tickets so I’ll be annoyed if you can prove it!

It doesn’t say it anywhere, you have to enquire with the RIAT people and this is what they [did] say:

“As a reflection of our commitment to support the Air Cadet Organisation, RAFCTE is able to offer cadets in uniform free entry to the Royal International Air Tattoo 2013 on Sunday 21st July only.”

I should’ve mentioned the Sunday only part…
