Will I be able to wear the RAF stable belt to this years RIAT camp in July?
I am sure that will depend on whether those in charge of the event decide that they wish to impose some sort of restriction over and above the published dress regulations.
I’d suggest taking the stable belt and checking on arrival.
the last couple of years (well I would say the last 4-5 years if not more) the JIs have specifically stated “Stable belts are not to be worn”
the Discipline team have turned Cadets and Staff around who are seen without a blues/green belt as appropriate

Definitely the case the first time I went back in 2010 too.
I can understand not allowing cadets to wear GPJ (cos they shouldn’t ever), but I’d be interested to hear the reasoning behind the objection to stable belts. I cannot believe that it is a uniformity issue, given the historical attitude to dress at the event.
