This is politics and not on topic at all (but it is almost Sunday) this temp VAT Cut for the Summer is a repeat of Eat Out to Help Out - it’s not support we can really afford and why should it be a temporary break.

Please not Boscombe!! They cancel enough cadet flying with a days notice as is and you cant take photos… let alone all the “stuff” they do there and Qintiq would charge a fortune for everything…
We might as well forget about a revised plan for RIAT 2026, and probably even in future years.
Whilst the threat may be perceived as Iranian planned, I see the biggest threat, which cannot be controlled are the Pro-Palestine lobby. As we have seen, they try and dispute anything/everything that they don’t agree with.
Despite what people think, you cannot control someone running towards the runway or attempting to damage an airframe. Even will half the Phase 2 trainees as guards, along the flight line, and one attempting to break through will dispute the whole event.

They’ve cancelled because of USAF usage of Fairford, which meant RIAT couldn’t get access, not because of a perceived threat from anyone.

Dose anyone know what’s happening with them trying to keep the cadets on camp but somwhere else?
Long story short, no.
They’re trying to come up with something somewhere that will get as many of us on camp as possible, but given that HQAC got almost no prior warning, they’re just planning it on the fly now. The official line is to wait a couple weeks and see what happens.
All the previous talk about runways - not needed! 
I’m seeing mention of other things being organised in it’s place for cadets. Any ideas wear that might be? Extra annual camps? A big super camp somewhere else?

One thing am instrested in is what’s happening to all the shirts and merch 
(Would not mind getting some of that with the money I’ve spent to go on camp.
On another point does anyone know what’s happening with your money if you have already paid? Do I get it refunded?
Tbh, I’ve already paid, but if they still give us the merch then I’m happy for them to keep my 20 quid. 2 Tshirts, a watter bottle, a keyring and a badge? I’d pay 20 quid for that easily!
(Espesially when I can turn up to every civvies event in it and annoy the people that didn’t get a place 
)
