Having just read Orders 8, 9 & 11I don’t really see how sleeping in non-accommodation with a suitable risk assessment would be in breach of them (especially if there is a proper fire alarm with smoke detectors etc).
It’s been a few years since I last asked about exactly this…
From memory…
Make sure there are no pre-existing restrictions - such as Sqn is within a shared use building - or, is not normally available (pretty obvious)
Building must have a maintained fire alarm; with detectors and sounders in all public areas.
You will almost certainly need to provide segregated sleeping areas:
Cadet under 18 male / female
Cadet over 18 male / female
Staff male / female
Fire warden / over night supervising staff - at least 1 male and 1 female
Then also ensure you have sufficient staff cover per normal ratios.
Sufficient access to toilets… and ease of access to toilets from each sleeping area…
