I am going to be raising the ensign today at squadron, for the first time after lock down. But when I do it I know I need to march up and blow the whistle, but does the short rope go on the top or bottom? As I don’t want to get it the wrong way up for a first time.

Yes, we have a process of an NCO does it Tuesday and Thursday, the flag self-isolates over the weekend and we all have are own personal whistle.
