I would guess that’s a fairly new cadet that’s not been adequately briefed.
Looks to be at an event, did you have a kind word?l and offer to help?
Also, we can all still see your profile picture, so perhaps don’t be too hasty to frantically stab pages of the regs with your accusing finger

I remember my first day in uniform. Went with working blue shirt and tie underneath my jumper.
I looked great.
Not sure why my old man, who was a member of staff, didn’t catch that one. Must have needed a laugh.

We had a cadet put the Air Training Corps Brassard badge on their MTP…
So we’ve found his twin…

I’ve seen a cadet use there MTP blanking patch as a brassard (Like how the ACF do)

This sounds very Army SSI/Cont Cdr who thinks everything is Army and they’re always right and faints at the thought that other sections have different uniforms..

No, only CCFs have them (School Staff Instructor), still called that as far as I believe - we certainly do
Ah right, makes sense.
Just seen SSI and thought, “haven’t that been done away with” but clearly not with CCF, since the ACF certainly have.
In the ACF it had a different meaning: staff sergeant instructor (which made perfect sense for a corps of instructors to use that rank in the same way the RAPTC and SASC do, but c’est la vie).

Pretty much what @FJM said above. It’s a rather classic example of CCF mixing rules between Army and RAF.

It’s not, but I know of Conts where it is
