RAFAC Brand Guidelines Release

So launched via the RAFAC Facebook group, the new Brand Guidelines have been released.

The content of the guide actually looks quite good, even including guidance on squadron badges etc.

rerelease. They are dated last year.

You have to create an account, then log in.
The RAFAC logo is available under RAF > Specialist

Has anyone tried to download a RAFAC logo from the Defence Brand Portal?
I tried and after a few moments of a “File Downloading” dialog, it then crashed with " We’re sorry, but something went wrong." . . .

Starting talking to the Brand and Licensing Manager who has said that non MoD email address’s do not have download rights on the brand portal.
forwarded the issue to the RAF Graphics team for resolution.

I’ve used the portal in the past, however it looks like their system has been updated. Previously I emailed the helpdesk contact stating who i was etc and i was granted download access no problem at all.

We’ll see if that’s changed with the new login system

it’s exactly the same this time round.
It’s just frustrating that we’re having to do this and a discussion with the Defence Brand Portal wasn’t had before hand to automatically grant appropriate permissions to all @aircadets.org email holders.

Update: Have just had the same conversation as before and have been granted access again. Easy enough!

No doubt they’ll be getting a good few requests very soon…

I followed the old one, but noticed how many people in senior positions didn’t. Not well enforced.

Yep, I tried to get the sqn website formally approved. Region turned round and said there wasn’t enough RAFAC branding so I asked them where I could find the brand policy compliant logos and pointed out that the region website uses non compliant logos. . .

In terms of badges, the regions seem to be the worst for following the rules.

LASER’s is gopping

Well yes, I do wish there was a way you could check which badges were actually authorised. . .
